Tommy Ng, PhD
Licensed Psychologist
My research focuses on improving our understanding and treatment of mood, anxiety, sleep, addictive, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. What are the mechanisms underlying these mental health conditions? Why do some patients respond to a particular treatment while others do not? How can we predict whether a patient will benefit from a specific treatment? How can we improve our treatments? To address these questions, my work encompasses basic science research that utilizes functional magnetic resonance imaging techniques and applied clinical research that involves randomized controlled trials.
